| Looking at it from the way it is in Japan with both the buying agent and the selling agent getting 3% each, There is less incentive for the selling agent to promote the home. The 6% model where the buying agent and the selling agent and the buying agent split the comission is a much better model for selling houses in my opinion. It incentivises the selling agent to promote the home much more to give them a higher point to bargain from if a buying agent brings a buyer. It is also good for photographers, writers, B to C platforms... and Matterport. |
